Don't forget that individuals working on a voluntary basis don't have to reply - and providing a stamped self-addressed envelope is essential. Also sending some new, relevent information with any enquiry would to go towards helping reward the researcher's efforts. Don't forget that If the information is not on a computer then searches could take months and represent a lot of unpaid effort.
